In medicine, the phrase "magic bullet" refers to a therapeutic agent which will specifically target diseased cells while sparing normal, healthy cells: it is the goal of many cancer researchers. In general terms, a magic bullet can be anything which is highly sought. Five weeks after Dia's litter was whelped, I knew I had found my "magic bullet." Though the entire litter exuded type and substance, little "Pink Girl" would always catch my eye with her compact and well-balanced body, not to mention the fact that she was the loud mouth in the bunch and always demanded my attention. Emma is shown here at her very first show, The Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston Specialty Show taking fourth place out of seventeen entries from 9-12 month Puppy Sweepstakes under Lab breeder/judge Mrs. Pat Woollaston (Aukland, New Zealand).

With only three months difference in age, Emma and Morgan are cousins and best buddies. Emma has made some guest appearances in the Morgan Comic Strip and although I draw her smaller than Morgan she is actually a very substantial bitch like her "mom" despite being short and compact. When Emma playfully body-slams Morgan (as she often does), her 70 pound cousin feels it.
